WHAT IS IT ?
Cryopen delivers nitrous oxide directly to the area without destroying surrounding healthy tissues. This this process is called cryo-necrosis. Treatment is quick and requires no anaesthesia.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED?
Most lesions will only need 1-2 sessions. It is all dependent on the type of lesion we are treating.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME ?
Occasionally, a blister might form and persist for up to 5 days. It can take up to 14 days for the lesion to be removed.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?
You may experience temporary redness, blistering, scabbing, redness and pigmentary changes. Both hypopigmentation and hyperpigmentation may occur after cryotherapy. Both generally only lasts a few months. Permanent colour loss can occur in dark skinned patients. Daily SPF must be worn to reduce pigmentary side effects and promote optimum healing.
IS THE REMOVAL PERMANENT?
Yes, for the majority of skin lesions
DOES IT HURT?
The treatment has minimal discomfort. It is often described as a slight sting which quickly subsides. The treatment only lasts around 20 seconds
WILL IT LEAVE A SCAR?
Typically, it leaves the least amount of scarring of any form of lesion removal because it causes the least damage to the connective tissues. Temporary pigmentation changes may occur
